By the time Becky Lynch made her way into the WWE, Sheamus was already an established superstar who had multiple title reigns. While he did provide assistance to Lynch, he had to clarify the story.
Sheamus spoke to Express, where he dismissed rumors that he got Becky Lynch into WWE. In actuality, he only got her contacts which she needed. Lynch did everything all by herself. Here is what he said:
“I actually talked to Becky, I had a conversation before her tryout. I think I got her in touch with whoever it was, I got her in touch with the right people. I just made a connection, she did it all herself. Sometimes things can get misconstrued or whatever, like I got her in WWE … That’s not true at all, but I gave her the information and passed it on until she got the opportunity. She did it, she took it.”
Sheamus is currently out of action, but it is likely that he will be making a return soon enough. It is a matter of WWE actually has something planned for him.
