Smackdown Live reportedly had the messiest creative situation in ages

This week’s episode of Smackdown Live was met with criticism from fans and it was evident that the show went through last-minute changes. That is because Vince McMahon told WWE creative earlier during the day to change the entire show.

According to a report by Fightful Select, the creative situation in Smackdown Live this week was said to be the messiest in a long time. The lead writer for Smackdown Live,  Ryan Ward, was reportedly “reduced to a typist.”

I was told this week’s SmackDown was one of “the messiest creative situations in recent memory” with a couple of re-writes and constant miscommunication between WWE and their social media departments. Ryan Ward, who is the lead writer was effectively “reduced to a typist.”

Fan reception was mixed for this week’s episode of Smackdown Live. However, at least they were able to put on a two-hour show despite the messy creative situation. Hopefully, things get better from next week.
