Smith Hart passes away aged 68

In some unfortunate news, WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart’s brother and uncle to current star Natalya, Smith Hart, passed away yesterday after a battle against prostate and bone cancer.

The 68-year-old was the eldest of Stu and Helen Hart’s 12 children and had a decorated wrestling career in Canada and Japan — he occasionally also appeared in WWE during programs involving his brothers Bret and Owen.

WWE posted their condolences on the official website and below is reaction from some of the wrestling community:

My uncle Smith Hart will be forever in our hearts as unique, genuine and as real as they come. And we are proud of you for fighting so hard in your battle against cancer. We will miss you so much, Smith.
