Stephanie McMahon ‘Sued’ By Fired WWE Stars?

Stephanie McMahon is the daughter of the Chairman of WWE Vince McMahon and has a lot of responsibilities of her own as she is the Chief Brand Officer of the company. Stephanie McMahon also brought back a fired WWE Superstar recently.

It seems the longstanding court case between WWE and Konstantine Kyros, backed by several fired WWE stars including Raven, Shane Douglas, Sabu, Earl Hebner, and Chavo Guerrero, regarding his concussion case has been brought to an end. According to a report by PW Insider, the following was stated:

The United States Supreme Court of Connecticut officially declined to hear arguments from attorney Konstantine Kyros in his attempt to resurrect the dismissed WWE concussion lawsuits, PWInsider.com has confirmed.

The previous dismissals of the case had been held up in appeals court.  This would have been a last ditch effort to get the Supreme Court to hear arguments on why the cases should be re-opened, but with the court declining to take part, this would mean that the case is absolutely, 100% done, with the exception of courts deciding how much financial restitution Kyros will be ordered to pay WWE as a result of previous sanctions ordered against him.

As reported by Fightful, the following was also stated:

In September 2020, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit dismissed an appeal by attorney Konstantine Kyros and former WWE wrestlers who claimed the company didn’t protect them from head injuries that could have resulted in CTE. Judge Vanessa L. Bryant of the United States District Court of Connecticut originally dismissed the case in September 2018, but Kyros appealed the decision. The dismissal by the U.S. Court of Appeals was an affirmation of the original decision.

In February, Kyros filed a Petition for Writ of Certiorari in the United States Supreme Court to review the Second Circuit Court of Appeals decision affirming the dismissal of the class action lawsuits brought by former WWE wrestlers for neurological injuries they sustained in the ring.
