Due to his performance at NXT TakeOver: WarGames, Pat McAfee has impressed both fans and Superstars alike. It seems he has also impressed WWE Hall Of Famer Steve Austin with his in-ring skills.
While speaking to ESPN, Steve Austin was asked regarding Pat McAfee’s in-ring prowess. The WWE Hall Of Famer gave a lot of praise to him for putting everything on the line inside the squared circle. He then said that ‘he’s slaying everybody’ on the microphone in NXT.
“He puts it all on the line, he goes for it. His verbal skills — he’s slaying everybody, but he’s not afraid to go out there and put it all on the line. You wouldn’t expect it from someone who goes out there and kicks a football, but Pat McAfee is badass. I think he’s doing a really, really good job. I’d give him a solid A.”
Even CM Punk recently praised McAfee’s promo skills. McAfee’s last two storylines were a hit with fans and we will have to see what is next in store for him.
