The Miz was planned to go up against his former tag-team partner John Morrison on this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw after ‘The A-Lister’ attacked him. However, the former WWE Champion was not featured on the show and Morrison was squashed by Omos instead. It turned out that it was one of many plans that were made.
The change in the script might have caused The Miz to miss Raw

It was also previously noted that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was extremely furious about this week’s script for RAW. He ripped it up several times, leaving the writing team to struggle until after 6:00 PM without any clear direction as to what they were doing this week. The Miz’s absence very well might have contributed to McMahon’s anger and it was one of the matches promoted for the show.
