The Rock appeared on WWE Smackdown, narrating a video about his late father Rocky Johnson for Black History month.
Ronda Rousey is back on Smackdown after 3 years away from WWE. Ronda Rousey recently made a shocker of a return to WWE and went on to win the Women’s Royal Rumble match. Another veteran star and current IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion Mickie James was also part of the match and she marked her epic return to the company with the move. James recently discussed her working experience with Rousey during an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Riju Dasgupta.
This one makes me emotional, but man I’m smiling with goosebumps of gratitude, mana and pride.
My dad, Rocky “Soulman” Johnson was a trailblazer and became the first black @wwe tag team champions w/Tony Atlas.
Thank you dad.
I will forever be proud of who and what I am.

Mickie James opens up on Ronda Rousey
James spoke highly of Rousey and she admitted that wrestling the ex-UFC champion was quite an experience. Mickie James lavished praise on Rousey’s effortless transition to pro-wrestling and felt that her old rival deserved to get pushed in the WWE. Recently, Undertaker was spotted with Ronda Rousey in a video clip.
James faced Rousey on a few occasions in 2018, and the veteran superstar was happy to help the former MMA star understand the fundamentals of wrestling. Here is what she said:
“I think she was picked up the business very, very quickly, considering the background she comes from. And I said that, yes, I have a lot of love and respect for Ronda. So, maybe, if you’re coming to me and going, ‘Oh, she doesn’t deserve it because she was the UFC and of course, she is going to get a push,’ you are barking up the wrong tree because I will say that, obviously, being in the position when I was there and the one taking most of the a**-whippings from her, so that when she would get better and I could help her, you know, we could help each other. I could help her get better because she that sucked because she is an MMA girl, and a lot of it hurt,” revealed Mickie James.
Rousey is set to challenge Charlotte Flair for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 38.
