Tito Ortiz’ UFC 106 Opponent Revealed for His Return, UFC Signing Another Nogueira

– Fighters Only reports that Tito Ortiz vs. Mark Coleman is set for UFC 106. MMA Authentics executive Mike DiSabato has since confirmed the report. The fight will be Ortiz’s first since May of 2008. Ortiz hasn’t won since his October 2006 TKO of Ken Shamrock. Since then, he has lost to Chuck Liddell, Lyoto Machida, and settled for a draw against Rashad Evans.

 


 

Coleman is coming off a victory at UFC 100 over Stephan Bonnar. Prior to that win, he had not won since February 2006. UFC 106 is scheduled for November 21st at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

– During Tuesday’s UFC 102 Conference Call, the former UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira announced some news that made many MMA fans very happy. His little brother, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, is coming to the UFC.

“He’s coming to UFC. He’s here for sure.”

To add to this news, MMA Weekly is reporting that Antonio Rogerio Nogueira has been scratched from the September 12th Bitetti Combat show, where he was set to face Alex Stiebling. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, a light heavyweight, is 17-3 in MMA, with a five fight winning streak. He holds victories over MMA stars Alistair Overeem (two times), Dan Henderson, Guy Mezger and Kazushi Sakuraba.
