Toni Storm Left WWE On Very Bad Terms?

Toni Storm was called up to the main roster as part of Friday Night Smackdown on July 23rd this year and was not really utilized well at all. She was even gone from WWE television for a long time until she started a feud with Charlotte Flair. Becky Lynch also recently dropped a Toni Storm bombshell.

She would end up getting humiliated during the feud and eventually just left the company, as she was released recently. According to Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net, it was reported that Toni Storm did not request her release from the company because she just quit and left after working a match during a WWE live event.

“Turns out, Toni didn’t exactly request her release… she just up and quit. Worked a triple threat at a house show last night and then paid out of her own pocket to fly herself home.

WWE handling it as her asking for her release and then them granting it, because after so many talents were released due to “budget cuts” this year, it’s like “meh.”

WWE have released Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Ruby Riott, Santana Garrett, and Buddy Murphy. The reason cited was part of budget cuts, and Strowman was being paid $1.2 million per year according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The former WWE Universal Champion signed a new contract in October 2019, so the budget cut regarding Strowman is the WWE’s biggest saving financially from all of the talent cuts in the last year plus during the pandemic. Braun Strowman was fired by WWE for a very surprising reason as well.
