Tony Schiavone uncertain if AEW will be as big as WWE

Tony Schiavone left the world of professional wrestling for a long time. He kept himself busy with baseball and football commentary.

Schiavone spoke to Sportskeeda, where he talked about his role in AEW. He is happy working for the company, but when he was asked if AEW could rival WWE in size, he was uncertain.

“I don’t know if AEW will ever be as big as the WWE; with a Network, and the reach that they have overseas, because WWE has been around for a long time.”

“But, I’d like to see it be a viable part of wrestling — I’d like it to be a place where very good professional wrestlers – both men and women – can come and make a good living, and be treated fairly… that’s what I’d like AEW to be.”

AEW Dynamite so far has pleased WarnerMedia as the company signed an extension to their deal. The show will air on TNT until 2023. We will have to see if AEW could ever be comparable to WWE in terms of size in the future.
