Triple H Cancels Return Of Two Ex-WWE Divas

WrestleMania 40 was a highly successful event for WWE, breaking records in various areas, and showcasing the company’s growing popularity. However, plans for some major returns and segments were altered, as a report from Fightful Select indicates that there were supposed to be some integration of Trish Stratus and Lita in a segment during the event that ultimately did not take place. The specific details of the planned segment were not provided, but it is clear that there were changes to the original plan involving these legendary WWE stars.

Trish Stratus and Lita, known as Team Bestie, made a notable return at WrestleMania 39, joining forces with Becky Lynch to compete against Damage CTRL’s Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY in a six-woman tag match. While Lita’s most recent in-ring appearance took place at that event, Stratus continued her journey in WWE by engaging in a feud with Lynch that lasted nearly five months. This feud culminated at Payback 2023 in September.

”There was some Trish Stratus and Lita integration in a WrestleMania segment that we’re told didn’t end up happening.”

Despite the altered plans at WrestleMania 40, Stratus and Lita have hinted at returning to WWE television this year. Fans will have to wait and see whether these plans come to fruition and how these two iconic WWE stars might be involved in future storylines.
