After weeks of anticipation, Ben Carter finally made his WWE debut during this week’s episode of NXT UK. He appeared on Noam Dar’s Supernova Sessions talk show segment.
Carter was interrupted by NXT Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devlin, who claimed that his title was the real Cruiserweight Title even though Santos Escobar is defending his own NXT Cruiserweight title in the US.
Their confrontation ultimately led to a Cruiserweight Title match as Carter challenged Devlin for the title. The match became the main event of the show and Carter certainly impressed with his performance, despite not being able to defeat Devlin.
WWE COO Triple H was elated at Carter’s performance on NXT UK. After the match ended, Triple H took to Twitter and put over Ben Carter. He urged fans to watch Carter’s in-ring debut against Devlin, dubbing it as “a star-making performance.”
The future is certainly bright for Ben Carter and it will be interesting to see what WWE will plan for him next.
