Recent reports had revealed that Triple H’s backstage roles have changed in recent months and many people within the company are seeing it as a demotion for him.
According to the report, WWE has edited Triple H’s title to being the Executive Vice President of Global Talent Development & Strategy and he is now solely focusing on the further development of NXT.
His duties of negotiating with talents have been taken over by Vince McMahon’s Chief of Staff Brad Blum and many people within the company seem to consider it a loss of power for the Game.
Interestingly, Triple H mentioned these reports while doing commentary on the latest episode of SmackDown Live and he said that he is the only person in history to get busier after a demotion:
