The Wednesday Night Wars are far from over as AEW Dynamite and NXT battle it out every week. NXT was shifted to Wednesday nights on the USA Network when AEW Dynamite made its debut on TNT.
A few weeks ago, NXT and AEW Dynamite aired on different nights and both shows garnered more viewers as a result, with Dynamite managing over 1 million viewers once. As reported earlier, Chris Jericho advised WWE to move NXT away from Wednesday Nights.
During a teleconference to promote NXT TakeOver: 31, Triple H was asked by Dave Meltzer if NXT was going to move to Tuesday nights. Triple H revealed that NXT will not be leaving Wednesday nights and that they are “happy where they are.” This decision was made between WWE and its partners.
“As far as where it sits, those are business questions that come down to WWE and our partners.”
So it seems the Wednesday Night Wars will continue.
