There have been speculations regarding the future of Triple H in WWE. While his in-ring return is strongly in jeopardy due to his health concerns, his full-time backstage role might also be coming to an end. Lisette Pineda was recently let go by the company and she was WWE’s Manager of Global Talent Strategy & Development and worked closely with ”The Game.’ The report of her release came according to PWInsider and that fuels up the speculation of Hunter’s departure as well.
Triple H could be leaving WWE
HHH serves the company as the Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy and Development and given that Pineda has been released, Hunter’s time at the company could be seemingly over. He hasn’t been seen in a long time now. It is due to his “cardiac event” last November. He was hospitalized and his condition was reported to be serious, although he has since recovered.
Aside from a video that leaked on TikTok a few months back and a brief appearance on NBC News, there has not been much news about Hunter and no update has been provided either regarding his health. Shawn Michales (with Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard overseeing things) has taken over Triple H’s duties at NXT.
Hunter has been given credit for the inception of NXT and he was the top authority for the brand until it was revamped into NXT 2.0 in September last year. Several reports surfaced before the rebranding that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and Bruce Pritchard were now in creative control of the former “Black and Gold” brand. Though HHH keeps his official company position as the Executive Producer of NXT, he does not have any say in the creative aspect of the show. We will have to see what future awaits for the veteran professional wrestling and sports entertainment star.
