After his attorneys were unable to postpone the trial’s start date until next month, former President Donald Trump launched another attack on the daughter of the New York judge supervising his hush-money case via Mediaite.
Trump’s attorneys requested in May of last year that Judge Juan Merchan step down from the case because his daughter holds an executive position at a political consulting firm that regularly works with customers including Vice President Joe Biden. Merchan said he could be “fair and impartial,” but he declined.
It was less than 24 hours after receiving a gag order from Merchan, that Trump blasted the judge by hinting at an accusation of corruption — claiming the judge is making his daughter “richer and richer” with his rulings in the case, in a series of posts on Truth Social.
“Judge Juan Merchan, who is suffering from an acute case of Trump Derangement Syndrome (whose daughter represents Crooked Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Adam ‘Shifty’ Schiff, and other Radical Liberals, has just posted a picture of me behind bars, her obvious goal, and makes it completely impossible for me to get a fair trial) has now issued another illegal, un-American, unConstitutional ‘order,’ as he continues to try and take away my Rights,” Trump wrote to his followers on Wednesday morning.
