Former President Donald Trump recently posted a video clip on social media that showed him enjoying the admiration of his supporters at Mar-a-Lago. This came after a series of court rulings that did not go in his favor. Despite a difficult Presidents’ Day, Trump still found a way to lift his spirits. He walked out of his Florida golf resort and residence to acknowledge a crowd of fans and posted a recording of the event on his Truth Social platform.
“THANK YOU—MAGA!!!” Trump wrote in a post Monday evening.
In the clip, Trump waves to supporters as they chant “KEEP FIGHTING!” and wave banners like the “Trump Won” flag (he didn’t win).
Even the conservative New York Post noted the brutal time Trump’s been having as they reported on the sighting:
Donald Trump blew off steam, and some kisses, on Monday while celebrating President’s Day with admirers at his golf club in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Donning his signature “Make America Great Again” hat, the 45th president looked jubilant as he appeared to acknowledge and wave at his supporters nearby.
The brief sighting follows close on the heels of a bruising week in court and ahead of a jam-packed schedule in the coming days for the 2024 GOP frontrunner.
Indeed, as the Post went on to note, it was a brutal week for Trump.
Letitia James, the attorney general of New York, brought the fraud case, and Judge Arthur Engoron presided over the trial on Friday. The trial resulted in a stunning judgment that could cost him over $460 million, including pretrial interest, and restrict his ability to conduct business in the state for three years.
The previous day, Trump angrily confronted media members outside of a hearing in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case over hush money payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels. This led to Trump’s multiple-count indictment. However, the judge set a trial date of March 25 after his team’s attempt to postpone that trial was unsuccessful.
