Donald Trump told his son in a Rumble interview that Tucker Carlson was ‘gung ho’ about airing January 6th footage on Fox News, but that it appears he may have been censored and stopped from airing more.
Breitbart News has reported that executives at Fox News are attempting to keep top-rated host Tucker Carlson under contract until after the 2024 election. Carlson’s current contract runs through December 2024, and the network is said to be trying to prevent him from being released before that time. This news came just days after the network canceled its top-rated weekend program with host Dan Bongino. However, according to sources who spoke to Breitbart News, the official narrative from the network is untrue and many of the leaks and speculation that have emerged in the past few days are also false.
Breitbart News spent several days interviewing key players in the personnel matters at Fox News to uncover what really happened. Despite the fact that many people know the inside story, nobody would speak on the record for fear of reprisals from Fox News or the broader Murdoch empire. The network is known for being ruthless towards anyone who speaks the truth about what is happening there, and network spokeswoman Irena Briganti is believed to use outlets owned by the Murdochs, such as the New York Post and Wall Street Journal, to plant stories that reflect poorly on foes of News Corporation.
Sources say that both Carlson and Bongino are still under contract with Fox News. Bongino’s contract runs through the end of April, and Carlson’s contract runs until the 2024 general election. Both hosts are said to be negotiating exit packages, but even after they have formal agreements in place, they will be bound by non-disparagement clauses that prevent them from speaking the truth about their departures.

Fox News has issued public statements regarding Carlson and Bongino’s departures, stating that they have “agreed to part ways” and thanking them for their service to the network. However, the power play by the Murdoch family, which is headed by elderly patriarch Rupert Murdoch but rising in power are his sons Lachlan and James Murdoch, is said to be like a scene out of the hit HBO show Succession.
