WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury may be out for someone in his camp who gave him Covid-19 which caused the fiasco that caused not only Tyson Fury to contract Covid, but also, it caused the entire fight to be postponed. Tyson Fury Caught Lying About Illness.
When the postponement was revealed, Fury’s co-promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank, stated that his boxer was not fully vaccinated. Fury received the first shot of the vaccine, but never returned to get the second shot. Fury was angered by his diagnosis and believes that he contracted the virus from one of his sparring partners.
To avoid any further delays to his ring return, Fury is cutting down the size of his team and he is also banning family members and close friends from having access to the training camp.
Fury stated: “There were only ten of us on the team this time. But when we go back into camp for a month in England and another month here I will cut us to just four full time. Me, my head trainer SugarHill Steward, his assistant Andy Lee and my old pal Tim who organizes my life. We will strictly control the access for sparring partners and increase testing. No masseur. No fitness coach. No dietician.
Fury closed: “Even my two brothers will have to wait to join me until fight week here in Vegas. I’ve suffered enough frustration on this roller-coaster. I don’t need more, any more than I would have risked anyone else’s health by coming early out of quarantine.”
