Let’s face the facts before diving too deep into this. Chael Sonnen likes to bury everyone, so this video posted by the aforementioned UFC star was like Christmas when he got to take some jabs at Oscar De La Hoya. In a recent video posted to Chael Sonnen’s channel, he speaks about the upcoming Vitor Belfort and Evander Holyfield fight. Chael seems really excited for the fight. Admittedly, Chael seems more pumped for that than he would have been for the original fight that was Vitor Belfort and Oscar De La Hoya.
As Chael continues moving along the conversation to himself, he starts talking about how after the contracts had been signed and Oscar was all for the Vitor fight that: “We see Oscar and he’s drunk and or high. He admitted to being drunk – he’s intoxicated. This is during training camp. Then he releases footage from training camp and he looks slow as molasses running up hill. Then we see him at the press conference, now he had a shirt on and he was out of shape, this was bad.”
Chael continued to state that it was all a bad look for De La Hoya and while he should feel bad for him after being hospitalized it was hard to do so when he knows all he knows about the situation. Chael says: “You’re in the hospital, but you’re on social media taking selfies. Pick one. You’re posting them every hour on the hour about a boxing match that you’re now not going to do. They don’t go together. It doesn’t go together. You’re either in the hospital sick against your will, or you’re on social media. It doesn’t go together.”
I’m personally not sure about Chael, but my phone is on me at all times and I would be on Facebook or whatever else 24/7 if I was bedridden trying to recover. It’s just what you do. As far as the promotion of the fight, I am almost positive that Oscar has people who help run his socials. I digress.
