Updated look at upcoming card for WWE Summerslam

WWE is planning a huge show for the Biggest Party Of The Summer. There will be tons of action and much of the card might not even be put together just yet. SummerSlam is looking to rival WrestleMania when it comes to big show appeal as they need to make the Big Four PPVs look even stronger. It might also be a long show if any reports are correct. With all of the action WWE is planning they might need seven hours.

WWE still has some work to do with it comes to the Universal Title Match. Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns was the early match scheduled but at this point, it’s likely that they’ll add Samoa Joe unless they have Braun Strowman get involved in some way. They could go with Brock Lesnar vs Samoa Joe II at SummerSlam so they can save Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar for WrestleMania. Dave Meltzer also noted in a recent issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that John Cena could also be mixed into the plans at WrestleMania too since he’s now a free agent.

It is reported the idea WWE is currently kicking around is to have Alexa Bliss defend her Raw Women’s Championship in a possible fatal four-way against Nia Jax, Sasha Banks, and Bayley.

There might be a mini-Shield reunion as well with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins squaring off against the Miztourage in some fashion. They could add someone else to team with Miz, but it might be a 2 vs 3 match.

Whoever Kurt Angle’s secret person is that he loves will also likely play into SummerSlam as well as AJ Styles and John Cena teasing a US Title match. With Big Show and Big Cass’ possible feud culminating at SummerSlam and a tease for a Broken Hardy reveal SummerSlam might be shaping up to be a pretty fantastic show.
