Vince McMahon Changes Night of Champions Main Event

WWE Night of Champions is just hours away from starting. Reports have emerged on which match will main event of the show in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

#BWE on Twitter was first to report earlier this week that WWE was leaning towards having the World Heavyweight Championship match between Seth Rollins and AJ Styles kick off the show.

It has been noted that it is not the norm to have a World Title kick off a show but it has happened before and in this case, they are doing it because Seth Rollins needs to hop on a plane immediately after his match.

#BWE reported that the word backstage is that Rollins needs to be back in the United States to continue his movie contract obligations. Rollins was recently spotted on the set of Marvel’s “Captain America: New World Order.”

It is unclear if this will affect who wins the match but if Rollins won’t be available for TV in the coming weeks or months, then it could mean that Styles might win the title today in Saudi Arabia. Again, that’s not confirmed but what is confirmed is that Rollins/Styles will kick off the show.

Here is the match card for WWE Night of Champions 2023:

  • Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar
  • Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens vs. Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa
  • Seth “Freakin” Rollins vs. AJ Styles (World Heavyweight Championship)
  • Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus
