Charlotte Flair, who is one of the top stars of WWE recently failed to successfully defend the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey as the former ended up screaming the words, ‘I Quit’ at WrestleMania Backlash Premium Live Event. The match received a lot of praise for being much better than expected.
Following the conclusion of the match, WWE commentators noted that ‘The Queen’ suffered an injury but it seems it is kayfabe. As per WWE’s medical update, Flair suffered a fractured radius during her loss to Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania Backlash. She was written off TV as she will reportedly take some time off after a seven-month run as the SmackDown Women’s Champion.
During a recent episode of WWE’s The Bump, it was announced that Flair will be “out of action indefinitely” following her “I Quit” match against Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania Backlash. WWE is claiming that Flair suffered a fracture of the radius in the match. For those who are unaware, the radius is a forearm bone. But it seems that the hiatus is because ‘The Queen’ wants to get hitched.
Charlotte Flair is set to tie the knot with Andrade El Idolo
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted the pair has a wedding ceremony reportedly scheduled for this month. He said the couple intends to marry during the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend. Somewhere between, May 27th and 30th.
Flair and Andrade started dating back in February 2019, and the two got engaged at the very start of 2020. The pair has been going strong since then, which has been very apparent from their social media posts.
Dave Meltzer had also previously revealed on Wrestling Observer Radio that Charlotte will be on a break from WWE for the foreseeable future as she plans on getting married to Andrade:
“That is, in fact, the case. It’s the angle to write her off to get married. So, yeah!”
We will have to see when Charlotte makes her comeback to the company.
