All Elite Wrestling started in 2019 and WWE reacted by moving NXT to the USA Network and starting the Wednesday Night Wars. Vince McMahon certainly had something to say about AEW recently.
During WWE’s 2019 fourth-quarter earnings call, Vince McMahon was asked about AEW. McMahon said that AEW did not change how WWE went about their business or their point of view.
McMahon added that the company does not feel the need to make the product edgier in response to the new promotion. He said that WWE is a rare TV-PG product and NXT’s performance on Wednesday nights are satisfactory.
WWE NXT is currently losing in ratings to AEW during the Wednesday Night Wars. We wonder what WWE will do to combat this.
