Vince McMahon ‘Pulled’ Smackdown Title Change

The way of the animal that is WWE is pretty simple to understand once you get the hang of the back and forth action. Vince makes a bunch of plans that usually sound alright on paper and then he pulls them last second leaving us to wonder what could have been. One superstar is speaking up about such actions…Stephanie McMahon Drops Ronda Rousey Bombshell.

Former member of WWE, Heath Slater has revealed that he threw out an idea for a feud with Miz for the Intercontinental Championship. The storyline would’ve seen Slater grab the win for the title. Per Slater, Vince McMahon was initially on board with the idea, but he then nixed the idea.

During his recent appearance on The Asylum Wrestling Store, Heath stated the following: “I’m pitching to go for the IC Title which Miz had at the time,” stated Heath. “So I wanted to do like Hollywood with The Miz versus country and hillbilly for me. So hillbilly was Hollywood, you know? So I do hillbilly things, he does Hollywood things. I try to take him to do hillbilly things, he’s like, ‘Nah man, this is awful.’ He tries to take me to do Hollywood things but I [don’t like it].

Heath finishes: “You know, that type of stuff. It could have been entertaining as hell, let me get the title.”” The following week, I lose it back to him, who cares?” Slater continued. “But it would’ve been a good storyline, good things and then Vince [McMahon] looked at me and loved it, two weeks later he hated it and wanted me to the do the story [of the tag team titles] and tag with Rhino so I’m just like, ‘What just happened here? You were all for it, now you’re not.’” (H/T to Post Wrestling for the transcription.)
Vince McMahon has a reputation for changing his mind on creative ideas even if he seemed all for it in the beginning. He is also reportedly known for re-writing the script for WWE RAW just a few hours before the show airs worldwide”
