Vince McMahon Rejects Pitch For Day 1 PPV

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon takes the final call regarding the shows. WWE is working towards the highly-anticipated Day 1 pay-per-view event because it’s being considered as a big show as WWE President Nick Khan came up with the idea. WWE wants to establish it as one of the bigger shows of the year alongside WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, Survivor Series, SummerSlam, and Money in the Bank. That’s why WWE is having another match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. Vince McMahon has also decided to refuse big money sale.

Vince McMahon turns down ideas of Day 1 appearance

WrestleVotes reported today that Vince McMahon declined various pitches to change the presentation of the show including the ring ropes, mat color, and more.

The account wrote, “in coordination w/ the Day 1 theme, multiple presentation ideas were discussed regarding the look & feel of tomorrow’s PPV. Everything from different rope colors, mat colors, camera angles etc and from what I’m told ALL were declined. Sheesh.”

Other top matches planned for Saturday’s event include WWE Champion Big E vs. Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens vs. Bobby Lashley and Edge vs. The Miz. With the recent COVID-19 outbreak in the company, WWE pulled several top stars from this week’s house shows to make sure those wrestlers who didn’t test positive are available for Day 1.
