Vince McMahon Censors Top AEW Name On Raw

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon refrains everyone from mentioning references of any other wrestling promotion at his shows, especially if it is something related to AEW. He was not backstage at this week’s WWE Monday Night Raw but he was still very much involved with the show. Vince McMahon was also recently turned down by WCW champion.

When McMahon is not at the shows, he will usually be in communication with the key people to give them direction and make changes as he feels is needed.

Vince McMahon directed to remove Tony Khan sign

This week on Raw, McMahon had a sign removed that was negative about Nick Khan and positive about AEW’s Tony Khan. Dave Meltzer noted that there was a sign in the audience at Raw that read “Nick=Con Tony=Khan” and once McMahon saw the sign, he had “quite a reaction” and people at the show were ordered to have the sign removed. The sign was gone within seconds.

In addition to McMahon not being at the show, there were others, including Kevin Dunn, Bruce Prichard, and Adam Pearce, who were not at Raw this past Monday. Prichard has missed several shows as of late and he is reportedly dealing with a non-COVID health issue. It’s not clear why the other executives were not there but it could be to stay clear of the virus and protect the key people who are needed to be at WWE Day 1 this Saturday.

The inaugural WWE Day 1 pay-per-view will take place on New Year’s Day, this Saturday, January 1, from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The Kickoff will begin at 7pm ET, and the main show will begin at 8pm. Below is the updated card:
