Vince McMahon Reportedly Furious With WrestleMania Attendance

On the latest episode of the “Nitty Gritty Dirt Show” on RussosBrand.com, host Billi Bhatti and former WWE writer Vince Russo, discussed how WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is frustrated with the WrestleMania attendance being capped due to the pandemic and how they are looking at alternatives to make the stadium appear full – such as implementing cardboard cutouts. In addition, Bhatt discussed possible plans for moving the WWE Thunderdome to Raymond James Stadium in the near future. Wrestling-Edge transcribed Bhatti’s comments below. Kurt Angle recently revealed advice given to him by Vince McMahon

Bhatti: Vince McMahon didn’t want to go all out with expenditures because he wouldn’t have his full stadium. He was being a big baby about it, he wanted to relaunch it with a big bang and instead what we’re having is a WrestleMania with half capacity. I still think they will get to half capacity and are falling in line with the Super Bowl, the cardboard cutouts, etc. Whatever the Super Bowl did they will do.

Bhatti continued:
However, the very next night you are going back to no fans. This is unless you do secure Raymond James Stadium and I’m the only person that is talking about that, which is potentially setting up the Thunderdome in Raymond James Stadium with a cross-promotion of fans and Thunderdome technology or reducing the size of the stadium, something that Kevin Dunn is very good at. Vince McMahon was glad he rejected John Cena heel turn ideas
