WWE releasing several stars which included Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Murphy, Ruby Riott and Santana Garrett came upon as a surprise. Now, former WWE writer Dave Schilling believes that the company is going to the direction on putting up for sale.

Schilling took his Twitter account and shared his thoughts on the recent releases. He believes that WWE is for sale.
He wrote:
“Ummm I think WWE is for sale.”
He further noted that cutting down the talents from the company is the sign that WWE is trying to maximize profits for the sale. There have been rumors for months of WWE setting up for a sale to NBC Universal after Nick Khan’s hiring and the Peacock deal.
He said:
“You don’t cut talent assets on this level unless you are trying to maximize profits before a sale.”
The most surprising name on the list of released stars was of the former WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman. Many fans have stunned with the release of someone of main event stature, a top star and a former champion.
Even the release of Aleister Black was highly criticized given that he recently returned with a fresh and new gimmick.
Schilling wrote:
“Braun is a legit top guy, a former world champion, and a merchandise mover. Alastair Black was getting a push on TV LAST WEEK. This is very telling.”
