When AEW decided Brodie Lee will be the Exalted One

Brodie Lee made this debut on this week’s AEW Dynamite. He was revealed to be the Exalted One. He appeared and attacked SCU.  Many fans expected Matt Hardy to be the Exalted One, but that was not the case.

According to a report by PW Insider, AEW planned Lee being the Exalted One as soon as he was available. Luke Harper was released from WWE last year and AEW decided to sign him.

Matt Hardy also made his debut on this week’s show, but he is not the Exalted One despite many teases from him. Many fans expected both of them to make their debuts, but the company managed to surprise fans with how they made their way into AEW.

We will have to see whether next week’s AEW Dynamite will take place.

Weakens the stable? The Dark Order has been one of the weakest and most hated gimmicks since AEW debuted and this can only strengthen them as nobody gave a rats behind for them before all the speculation of who the exalted one would be.

PW Insider says it was decided it would be him way back when he was released from WWE, and yet all this time they have not known who the exalted one would be, so how do they know this now?
Pure BS considering all the rumours of it being Christopher Danielson, Matt Hardy and Brodie Lee himself and a few others here and there.

The honest truth here is AEW had no idea who the exalted one would be and have been hedging their bets ever since the created the idea to see who they could put it that role.

In all honesty, having any kind of “Exaulted One” already weakens the stable and the angle. Now that it’s someone like Brodi Lee? It’s just gonna be all about him, and the whole “Dark Order” thing is just gonna fall off. The whole point of groups like this is mystique and mayhem. Now its just gonna be another stable trying to get one wrestler over.
