Actor Will Smith recently took to social media to announce the nearing completion of filming for the latest installment in the Bad Boys franchise. The film, which currently lacks an official title, is in post-production and is set to be released on June 14. Will Smith, a two-time Oscar winner, shared the news on Instagram, expressing his love for the city where filming is taking place.
However, the production of Bad Boys 4 will lead to several road closures in both Fort Lauderdale and Miami, impacting local traffic. In Fort Lauderdale, starting on February 26, northbound A1A will be fully closed between Las Olas Boulevard and Bayshore Drive from 6 a.m. to noon. Additionally, several streets between A1A and Seabreeze Boulevard, including Poinsettia Street, Cortez Street, Castillo Street, and Sebastian Street, will be fully closed.
In Miami, the closures are scheduled for:
- February 28: The easternmost lane of Brickell Avenue, between 13th and 14th Streets, will be closed from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- March 1: Southwest Second Avenue and Second Street will be closed from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- March 2: Southwest Second Avenue bridge between Third and Eighth Streets will be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- March 3: Southwest Second Avenue bridge between Third and Eighth Streets will be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
These closures are part of the logistical arrangements for the film production, and local residents and drivers are advised to plan accordingly due to the impact on traffic in the specified areas.
