The #SpeakingOut movement has caused quite a stir in the wrestling world. Several wrestlers have been called out for sexual misconduct. This includes Matt Riddle, who was accused of sexual assault by a female pro wrestler.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about Riddle’s allegations. He said that WWE was aware of the allegations two years ago. He added that the impression he was given was that the matter had ended. However, it seems that was not the case.
It is unclear what WWE will do with Riddle. He recently made his Smackdown in-ring debut, where he defeated AJ Styles in a singles match. Vince McMahon also ordered several re-writes for next week’s Smackdown, prior to the company postponing tapings.
Riddle’s attorney also released a statement regarding the allegations.
