Oftentimes, we take ourselves out of reality when we are so enthralled with professional wrestling. We kind of only see characters rather than people with real personal lives who are in real relationships and deal with the same things that we do. It’s always shocking when you hear about a star getting married or dating someone, but this one was probably one of the most shocking ones in recent months….Bobby Lashley Drops AEW Dynamite Bombshell.
Dexter Lumis and Indi Hartwell from NXT were recently engaged to one another on an episode of the formerly mentioned brand. What was most shocking was the fact that Indi Hartwell was the one who got down on one knee to propose to Dexter.
Lumis agreed to the proposal and Hartwell quickly slipped a special ring into Lumis’ hand to which the NXT crowd went nuts for as well as Hartwell herself and the commentary team and Beth Phoenix. This was truly a special moment that you don’t see too often.
We will have to see if NXT gets any backlash for breaking gender norms as this truly was a different approach by NXT and creative alike to have the woman propose to the man rather than the other way around.
