WWE Diva Legend Sentenced To 17 Years In Jail

In a significant legal development, WWE Hall of Famer Tammy “Sunny” Sytch received her sentence on Monday after pleading no contest to a felony charge of DUI. The case dates back to May 2022, stemming from a tragic incident in March 2022 in Ormond Beach, Florida, where 75-year-old Julian Lasseter lost his life in a traffic incident. Sytch faced a range of charges, including DUI causing death, causing death with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, DUI causing injury, and DUI causing damage to property.

Facing a maximum sentence of 25 years and having a history of previous impaired driving arrests, Sytch entered a plea deal. She pleaded no contest to felony DUI causing death, felony driving with a suspended license causing death, four misdemeanor counts of DUI with damage to a person, and two misdemeanor charges of DUI with damage to property.

During the sentencing proceedings, psychiatrists discussed the trauma Sytch experienced in her childhood and adult life, while the victim’s brother addressed the court. Sytch expressed a commitment to making positive changes in her life to prevent a recurrence and cited the challenges she faced following the death of Chris Candido.

Ultimately, the judge handed down a total sentence of 17 years in prison, with an additional eight years of probation. Sytch received ten years for driving with a suspended license causing death and seven years for DUI manslaughter. She is ineligible for parole in Florida, and her license has been revoked.
