Nia Jax was certainly one of the most infamous female Superstars in WWE, ever since she made her main roster debut in 2016. She won the RAW Women’s Championship and also the WWE Women’s Championship and was also involved in numerous high-profile feuds.
She is now in her impressive sixth overall reign as the Smackdown Women’s Champion. Flair captured this championship as a result of the 2021 WWE Draft when Charlotte Flair who was then the Raw Women’s Champion was drafted to Smackdown, and Becky Lynch the then Smackdown Women’s champion was drafted to Raw. Due to this development, the champions were made to swap titles. During a previous episode of Monday Night RAW, Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax exchanged stiff shots at each other during their match. This made fans believe the two had backstage heat.
On November 4th, 2021, Jax was released from her WWE contract. She was previously a former WWE Raw Women’s Champion and Two Time Women’s Tag Team Champion with Shayna Baszler. Before her tag team disbanding she had asked WWE for time off to focus on her mental health.
Nia Jax recently spoke to Renee Paquette on Oral Sessions, where she revealed that WWE offered her a spot to be in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. She would waste no time in rejecting the offer.
“I was in the middle of trying to get my stuff back. I had a bunch of crap. You know how it is, you’re just shoving stuff in everybody’s boxes. I’m in the middle of getting my stuff back, they sent me a box and more than half was missing. I’m like, ‘Yo, what is going on?’ When I got the call, I thought it was about, ‘Where is my stuff?’ It’s my homie in [Talent Relations]. ‘Hey, we’re just calling to see if you’d be interested in participating in the Royal Rumble.’ I started hysterically laughing. I thought it was my friend joking with me. ‘Oh, you’re hiliarious.’ ‘Actually, this is an official call.’ ‘Oh, f*** no, I’m not coming back.’ ‘We’d like to offer you this.’ I said, ‘first of all, I’m still under my 90 days. You’re still going to be paying me anyway, so you’re not offering me anything. No, I’m not coming back. Absolutely f****** not. Is this all it was?’ ‘Yes.’ ‘Okay, bye.’

I was like, ‘You’re asking me to be part of a list to go to the next step? F*** no. How much more can you shit on me?’ ‘We didn’t want her to feel left out. If it got around that she didn’t get ask, we didn’t want her to feel left out.’ ‘F***you, that’s such b*******.’ You needed people and I definitely [nixed] that.”
