Wrestlemania will happen in a couple of weeks and Rey Mysterio has a match. However, it isn’t the match he was supposed to have at first.
Rumors suggested that Rey Mysterio was going to compete in a hair vs mask match against Andrade at Wrestlemania. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that this was actually in their plans, but the match was canceled.
The reason for this match being nixed is unknown, but now Rey Mysterio will be having a match against Samoa Joe for the US Title at Wrestlemania instead. The match might also feature Rey’s son Dominick in some way.
So now it seems Andrade has no match for Wrestlemania and he grew his hair out for nothing. We can assume Rey would have won the match since Rey’s mask is very important to him and also has been used in storylines before.
