WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has had a legendary pro wrestling career. He has several accolades to his name and has squared off against some great opponents. His rivalry against The Iron Sheik inside and outside the ring remains to be one of the greatest chapters of the industry. Sheik never shies away from taking shots at ‘The Hulkster.’
The Iron Sheik has a harsh take on Hulk Hogan
The Iron Sheik has been quite vocal about his aversion for Hulk Hogan behind the scenes, often claiming that the Hulkster’s ego is the primary reason for it. Responding to a recent tweet inquiring about everyone’s greatest sporting achievements, the WWE Hall of Famer was quick to answer with a harsh statement:
“BEATING THE F*** OUT OF THAT NO GOOD DUMB SON OF A B**CH HULK HOGAN”, tweeted The Iron Sheik.

Sheik previously called Hogan a racist after his 2015 n-word remarks surfaced, writing, “WHO WANT TO SEE THE LEGEND REPLACE THE HIWDY DOODY HULK HOGAN IN THE @WWEToughEnough GIVE ME HELL YEAH.”
Hulk Hogan was one of the top stars in the 80s having the fans behind him. He was being pushed as the top star but needed to work against an equally competent heel who could turn audiences against him. It was The Iron Sheik who was the perfect opponent as he played a major role in making Hogan the star he eventually became.
Hogan himself acknowledged the importance of their match at Madison Square Garden in 1984, where Hulk Hogan defeated Sheik to win the WWE Championship. Hogan went on to hold the title for over four years. Here is what he said in an interview from 2019:
“The crowd was magic that night, it was the first time that I had wrestled where everybody stood up, everybody was screaming and yelling the whole time.” Hulk added “It was the greatest day of my life, that day changed my life forever.”
