During his hospital stay, he faced a “second small heart attack.” Despite these setbacks, a Facebook update assured fans that Afa was in good spirits and doing well. While still under observation, it was expected that he would stay in the hospital for a day or two.
Afa, affectionately known as Pops, is not only a WWE Hall of Famer but also a key figure in WXW Wrestling, his own promotion. WXW Wrestling announced on Twitter that Afa would be discharged from the hospital today, marking the end of a challenging period.
Despite facing health challenges, including two exploratory heart procedures in December, Afa remains resilient. The procedures were aimed at assessing his valves, with the possibility of a valve replacement. A follow-up appointment had been scheduled for December 20 to discuss further steps.
Afa’s positive attitude and ongoing contributions to the wrestling community have endeared him to fans. Despite health hurdles, he continues to inspire and garner support from the wrestling community. As he prepares to leave the hospital, fans express relief and continue to offer prayers for his ongoing health and well-being.
