WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW RESULTS (4/20/2020)

Drew McIntyre In-Ring

“Hey all you cool cats and kittens!” McIntyre starts the show off as we enter the Performance Center in Orlando, FL for tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW. McIntyre discusses the meaning of the WWE Championship — history, prestige, glory, fame, all the good parts of being the champ, however it also paints a huge bulls-eye on your back. McIntyre states whoever holds the title is the best of the best, adding everyone wants to be on top of the mountain.

That brings him to Seth Rollins, noting that Rollins stomped his head last week. McIntyre states that Rollins wants to be the champion, and McIntyre is the champ. McIntyre reminds that last week he said that anyone that goes against him for the title has to deserve the spot. McIntyre isn’t sure if Rollins deserves an opportunity for the title.

McIntyre continues on that Rollins is one of the most decorated Superstars of all time, and McIntyre states that if he wants to continue to be the greatest of all time, he has to beat the best. McIntyre then announces, “So in three weeks time, at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE Championship.”

McIntyre then asks the cameraman to get in close, he has to talk to Rollins directly, “Hey Seth,” as he waves, “how are you buddy? I’m not going to hurl a bunch of insults at you…” McIntyre is interrupted by Zelina Vega with Angel Garza and Austin Theory in tow.

Zelina shouts from the stage, “Hey Drew! I know I can’t speak for the entire WWE Universe, but we are so sick of all your ‘rah-rah’ speeches” McIntyre points to himself surprised. Zelina continues on. Zelina informs McIntyre that he’s so focused on the Money in the Bank pay-per-view that he isn’t even aware of tonight, at which point McIntyre is attacked from behind by Andrade. Zelina laughs as Andrade blindsides McIntyre.

The joke is short-lived as McIntyre lands a Claymore on Andrade. Vega’s face grows serious as she smacks Angel Garza in the chest shouting, “Go get him!” Garza sort of shrugs and looks away, so Zelina tells Austin Theory to go after McIntyre, Theory’s response quite similar to Garza’s. “What do you mean NO?” McIntyre asks what’s wrong with her guys, 3, 2, 1…. ANOTHER CLAYMORE, this time Andrade is knocked out of the ring.

“Anybody want next?” commentary from the broadcaster’s table. McIntyre looks into the camera stating, “You may want to put the kids to bed, because I am going to slaughter Angel Garza…” as McIntyre leans on the ropes.
