WWE New ‘Sexual Harassment’ Controversy Surfaces

WWE recently fired quite a few employees from the company, which started well back in April. Now it seems the company has hired three new executives today and after that, the company revealed three new board members. However, it seems one of the signings is a controversial name and as a result, the company has received a lot of backlash from fans.

According to a report by Jon Alba on Twitter, WWE hiring Jamie Horowitz has led to a ton of negative reception.

Wow. #WWE just announced the hire of Jamie Horowitz, a successful but controversial name in the sports media landscape. The innovator behind First Take among other shows…and the breather of life for Skip Bayless, of course.
While Horowitz has no doubt had success with pioneering the “embrace debate” platform, he was also the figurehead behind the massive flop that was Fox Sports all-video rollout, and had outstanding workplace misconduct accusations against him. Most recently was at DAZN. #WWE
Horowitz was accused of sexual harassment in 2017 while at Fox Sports, and fired. Picked up the DAZN job not long after. #WWE
Workplace culture has been a longtime talking point within #WWE, especially the last two years with the cuts around the time of the pandemic. The hiring of Horowitz, whose success is marred by accusations of harassment and controversial content strategies, will be scrutinized.
