WWE NXT Star ‘Missing’ After Kidnapping

At WWE NXT Takeover: Vengeance Day last night, prior to Johnny Gargano’s successful North American title defense against Kushida, Dexter Lumis kidnapped Austin Theory backstage before Gargano made his entrance, and it appears the storyline is continuing. Nick Aldis reacted to a big NWA surprise debut at NXT Takeover.

Gargano tweeted after the show, “PS: Has anyone seen this man? He gets lost easily. We are all very concerned..”

Lumis also kidnapped Roderick Strong last year during his feud with Undisputed Era. Theory has been part of multiple stables in just under a year, first being one of Seth Rollins’ disciples, and then joining Zelena Vega’s stable that dominated the early Raw pandemic shows, before finally joining Johnny Gargano’s stable.

Triple H discussed the possibility of an NXT Latin American brand on a call after Takeover last night.

PWInsider reported, “HHH said they have some next level talent and began naming talents from all three brands. He said that they absolutely could be right for a Latino brand but the circumstances have to be right and so does the world.

He said the pandemic is a problem obviously but as we’ve seen with Superstar Spectacle, the goal is specialized, localized programming. There are massive opportunities but they have to do when the circumstances are ready and correct, not just do it to just do it.”
