WWE planning on ‘revitalizing’ TV content with move to Amway Center

As reported earlier, WWE could be planning on having SummerSlam take place at The Amway Center in Orlando, Florida this year. It was said that the venue will be the location for RAW and SmackDown as well, at least for the rest of the year.

Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Live that WWE has rented out the Amway Center. The setup will be bigger than what they had at the WWE Performance Center. It was also said that the company plans on producing content in the Amway Center for the remainder of 2020. There were no talks regarding the return of live audiences, but that could change eventually.

According to a report by PW Insider, the company is also “toying” with the idea of using virtual fans for all future shows in the Center.

For the first time, toying with using virtual fans as a possibility for future broadcasts, including Summerslam.  WWE broadcast partner FOX has been using virtual fans for their Major League Baseball broadcasts.

Ryan Satin also stated that WWE is taping next week’s RAW and SmackDown, which will be the final episodes recorded at the WWE Performance Center. It was said that WWE has a few things planned which will revitalize the product.

Hearing a bunch of different things from sources today after this Amway Center news hit. Sounds like a lot of interesting things are in the works at the moment in an effort to revitalize the WWE product a little.

I hope this all helps.

The shows need it.

We will keep you updated on this story.
