Drew enters the Thunderdome

Drew McIntyre opens this episode of Raw, fresh off his victory against Randy Orton with a backslide out of nowhere. He also has fun with the Thunderdome audience and environment.

His promo takes several digs at Randy Orton, talking about how he was able to beat the ‘Greatest Wrestler’ with a basic wrestling move.  He leaves the opportunity open for Randy to face him one more time so he can kick Randy’s head off. Orton attacks drew on the ramp and the fight moves all the way to Gorilla, with Orton punting Drew twice.

Nia’s Back

Nia Jax is backstage, stopped by Sarah who is shocked by her being there due to suspension. She says that she has apologized to Pat Buck to get reinstated, and Shayna Baszler stops her backstage. After a quick pair of barbs, the two walk off and looks like there may be a feud brewing.

Bayley vs Shayna Baszler

Bayley is accompanied by an emotionally compromised Sasha Banks, still mourning her title loss last night.  Nia Jax makes a sudden appearance, and will surely be an important presence in the match.

The champ avoids as much contact with Shayna as possible, jaw-jacking with Sasha on the outside. When she re-enters the ring Sasha provides ample distractions for bayley to capitalize. As Shayna gets thrown outside the ring, Nia stops her from re-entering.  With the disqualification made, the two brawl but refocus on Sasha and Bayley as the pair escape.

The KO Show with Aleister Black

Kevin Owens is backstage and speaking to a mystery person behind a dark door, who it turns out is Aleister Black, who may or may not be waiting for someone to knock on his door.

Black does come onto the show with KO, but as Kevin Owens asks questions about his injury, Aleister Black gets more and more irritated. He seems to have an aggrevated injury, but as KO calls for help Black hits him with a Judas Effect followed by a Black Mass to end the segment.

24/7 Title Fatal Four Way

Akira Tozawa, Shelton Benjamin, Cedric Alexander, and R Truth face off for the 24/7 TItle. Despite a full blown attack by Shelton, Tozawa is saved by the Ninjas, who whold back Shelton so Tozawa can pin R Truth with a sunset flip. Tozawa is the new 24/7 Champion.

Keith Lee debuts

Randy Orton is out to answer Drew’s challenge from earlier. Orton continues his trend of being the most amazing promo in the company during this time of Pandemic.  As he continues to list his accolades, we suddenly get the debut of Keith Lee interrupting Orton.

Keith Lee is able to handle his own mic to mic against Randy Orton. Keith Lee issues a challenge to Orton, and Randy takes off his vest but exits the ring saying maybe later.

Angel Garza vs Montez Ford

Angel Garza is backstage with Demi Burnett of the Bachelor and Zelina Vega, but Charli tries to confront Zelina about poisoning Montez.  Zelina is indignant, but must focus on her upcoming match while he does invite both Charli and Demi to come out to his match leaving the women confused.

Demi and Andrade both join Angel Garza to his match.  Street Profits keep their raining red cup ‘pyro’ which may be the most affordable pyro ever. Plus recyclable.

The action is immediately fast-paced, with some great back and forth between the two.  Angel Garza seems to have the advantage, but Ivar comes out and presents a turkey leg to Demi and invites her to get out of there.  A confused Angel Garza watches as the two abscond, which allows Montez Ford enough time to recover and win with a 180 Frog Splash.

Women’s Tag Team Action

Nia Jax approaches Shayna backstage and decides to ask Shayna to join her in taking the Tag Titles away from Sasha and Bayley.  Shayna agrees under the condition that Nia leave her alone after they win the titles. She walks away after delivering an emphatic slap.

Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott are also entering the building, joined by Bianca Belair, who hypes them for their match against The Iiconics and Zelina.

The primary interplay of the match sees Riott Squad focusing on Iiconics and Bianca focusing on Zelina.  This feud has been great for featuring Zelina and her in-ring ability. Bianca is able to put away Zelina with a KOD after displaying her power and athleticism with a Glam Slam and handspring moonsault as well.

Arm Wrestling featuring Mark Henry

It’s time for the Apollo Crews vs Bobby Lashley arm wrestling match, with special guest Mark Henry. The two have a brief exchange concerning their match this coming Sunday at Payback.  Apollo Crews is able to outsmart Lashley by stomping his foot under the platform to win, and fend off an attack by the Hurt Business.

Intermission Segments

The Mysterio family is backstage with Rey expressing his pride in Dominik for his SummerSlam performance. It reeks of an imminent heel turn.

Lana and Natalya are in the middle of the ring, giving a faux induction to the Hall of Fame to Mickie James. This Mockery is answered with a Mick Kick to Lana in what was a confusing short segment.

Raw Underground

The Hurt Business shows up to Raw Underground and Bobby demands a fight, so he’s immediately let in.

After a quick win for Lashley, Ziggler faces him, and the two grapple, with Ziggler seeming to have technique against Lashley’s strength. Lashley wins by throwing Ziggler out of the ring into a wall.

Randy Orton vs Keith Lee

in Keith Lee’s first main-roster match, he takes on Randy Orton in the Thunderdome. Keith Lee is getting to show both his power and agility, with Randy selling the competitive level of Lee. Randy gets the opportunity for an RKO, but Drew pulls him out of the ring and starts throwing him around the Thunderdome, leading to a disqualification.

Drew starts explaining his motivations to Charli, but Orton once again shows up to deliver a Punt to the champ.

Sasha Banks vs Asuka (c) Raw Women’s Championship – Lumberjack Match

There are a shockingly low number of Lumberjacks, and as Sasha goes out the ring they don’t seem to be focusing on her as much as Bayley. The lumberjacks also let themselves get thrown one by one into Asuka by Bayley.  Unfortunately it’s not enough to prevent Asuka from getting the win against Sasha, as Shayna prevents her from giving Sasha a chair.  Sasha taps out to the Asuka lock, with sad frustration against Bayley on full display.

Raw Underground Is Hurt Business.

There’s more Raw Underground shenanigans as Bobby Lashley faces Cedric Alexander. As he wins, Ivar steps into the frey and The Hurt Business battle the Viking Raidres with Lasley once again victorious.

Dominik & Rey Mysterio vs Seth Rollins & Murphy

The Mysterios start the attack on Rollins and Murphy before they even get to the ring. Chaos reigns before the match even begins, with a constant attack sustained against the heels.

Back from commercial the match is underway properly. Dominik is doing pretty well, but is still clearly new at his, carried heavily by Murphy while Rey focuses on Rollins. The pair hit a double 619, but Dominik is distracted by the lights going in and out, and as Seth pushes Dominik off the turnbuckle, Retribution attack the Mysterios. We end the show with Retribution on Hard Cam standing over the duo.
