Why Vince McMahon was furious with Montez Ford?
Billi Bhatti during Keepin’ It 100 OFFICIAL, revealed an incident that took place during a dark match which involved Ford. This happened on the same night where Seth Rollins was attacked on-air. He revealed that there was a fan in the crowd who was holding a sign that read: ‘Montez is doo-doo’, which is slang for excrement. The Street Profits member had acknowledged the sign which he considered to be banter. Bhatti further revealed that the fan started to antagonize Ford. Bhatti reckoned that Vince was extremely furious with Ford [As transcribed by Wrestling-Edge]:
“I’ve been categorically told by people that had Bianca Belair not been with him and been a heavily pushed [black] talent in a company over the last year, Ford would have 100 per cent been fired immediately when he walked through the back. That’s how pissed Vince McMahon was.”
Bhatti spoke about the 7-on-7 babyface vs heels tag-team dark match. He revealed that Vince was annoyed with what had happened and Ford pacing around. He had broken character and told the fan to jump the rails ‘with an intention obviously to pound him out’.
Ford had later tweeted about the fan via his official Twitter handle and it was also noted that the fan was escorted out, as per a tweet by Alex McCarthy
