WWE Removes Top Champion From Raw

WWE has a reputation of making alterations in the last moment fo the segments. There were a number of talents missing last night on Monday Night RAW, from Finn Balor to WWE United States Champion Theory and his main rival Mustafa Ali. It is not known what is the current status Balor. However, it turns out there were originally plans for both Theory and Mustafa Ali to appear on the show.

WWE made some changes to the show

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, a segment between Theory and Ali was planned but ultimately scrapped off due to time constraints. While no alternative plans were discussed for Ali, some pitched to have Theory involved in the beatdown on Cody Rhodes with The Miz and Seth Rollins, but that didn’t end up happening either.

Although neither were featured on last night’s show, SRS stated that there are still plans to continue the rivalry between Theory and Ali on WWE RAW in the weeks to come.

Theory also recently recalled how he felt during his head-to-head battle with Brock Lesnar inside the Elimination Chamber in February. Lesnar had eliminated Seth Rollins, Riddle, and AJ Styles in quick succession before pinning Theory to win the WWE Championship. During the match, ‘The Beast Incarnate’ had hoisted up Theory for an F-5 from the top of an Elimination Chamber pod.

Theory confirmed on the same podcast that the F-5 spot was among the scariest moments of his career so far. He also reflected on his thought process when Lesnar escaped his pod.

“It absolutely was [scariest moment],” Theory said. “I remember standing in the ring and Brock came out last, and just listening to the crowd chant, ‘Lesnar! Lesnar!’ I was like, ‘We’re about to get eaten alive. This guy’s gonna kill us.’”
