WWE reportedly sued regarding XFL

XFL will be returning in 2020 and many people were unsure if it is a good idea. Vince McMahon assured people that it will be separate from WWE. It seems one stockholder wants to confirm that.

According to a report by Bloomberg, there is a lawsuit in the Delaware Court Of Chancery against WWE. A stockholder wants to sue the company owing to his desire to investigate the potential ties between XFL and WWE.

The lawsuit was filed on December 26th. The objective of the suit is to prove that Vince McMahon and WWE’s senior officers did not use its resources for the XFL.

The lawsuit, filed Dec. 26 in Delaware Chancery Court by an Oklahoma firefighters pension fund, claims there is “a credible basis to believe” that McMahon and other WWE senior officers breached their duties to investors by diverting valuable resources to the XFL.

In the lawsuit, it was also said that WWE’s board members might not have made sure McMahon’s personal interests did not conflict with the XFL. They want to see transactions and where the capital flows within WWE.
