Following Bobby Lashley’s victory against Brock Lesnar at WWE Elimination Chamber, there was anticipation for a potential rivalry between him and Bray Wyatt. The two wrestlers even took jabs at each other for a few weeks, with Lashley even making an appearance on SmackDown where he was confronted by Wyatt, but no match was set.

However, the rivalry between the two quickly went cold due to Wyatt’s absence. Reports suggest that Wyatt is still not cleared to compete and he may miss WrestleMania due to a physical issue, leaving Lashley without an opponent for the upcoming event.

Despite this setback, Lashley has expressed his desire to compete at WrestleMania and WWE is actively looking for alternative opponents for him. In fact, former WWE wrestler Chris Masters has left his schedule open for WrestleMania 39 in the hopes of facing Lashley.

During an appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Masters revealed that he has been pushing for a match with Lashley and has left the date open in case he gets the opportunity. While it remains to be seen if Masters will get the chance to face Lashley, he is eager to make it happen and has been vocal about it on Lashley’s social media posts.

“Yes, he did [Lashley reacted to the interview in January],” Masters said. “And I just noticed today that Wyatt is out for WrestleMania. So Bobby, he is looking for an opponent and I told Bobby under his Instagram posts that I left that date open for him. So maybe one day we will get this Hurt Lock, Master Lock match. Believe me, I’m pushing for it. But um, you know, couple loose ends I got to tie up there.”

Fans will have to wait and see who Lashley will face at WrestleMania, but it is clear that he has a dedicated opponent in Masters if the opportunity arises.
