Brock Lesnar thought he had retired

Speaking to Daniel Cormier, Brock Lesnar revealed he thought he had retired at WrestleMania 36. Brock said his contract with WWE was at the height of the pandemic and he truly believed it was the end for him after 20 years in the business at the time.

Here is what he said:

“In 2020, I retired and was gonna be just done because I had my twenty years in. COVID hit. My contract was up. I had my very first wrestling match in Hamel, Minnesota, in an empty garage. And there I was twenty years later, fighting Drew McIntyre in front of no people for the WWE Championship. And I was like, ‘You know what? It has come full circle. And I was truly done.”

Brock Lesnar faced off against Omos and defeated him at WrestleMania 39 Night Two.
