WWE ThunderDome has received an award this year’s edition of the prestigious SPORTEL Awards on Tuesday in Monaco.
WWE ThunderDome wins Virtual Fan Experience of the year Award
The Famous Group are the partner of WWE and teamed up with them to create the iconic ThunderDome at Amway Center. They have received the award and were honoured with the Digital Prize for Virtual Fan Experience for their creation of ThunderDome.

On working with WWE and developing the virtual fan experience, The Famous Group said:
“For WWE Thunderdome, after World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) developed the concept for the look and feel of the Thunderdome, The Famous Group worked alongside WWE to create a live virtual fan experience that has never been seen before, bringing fans into the arena for multiple events even when they couldn’t be there physically due to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
The Famous Group also achieved the Promotion Programme Prize for their ‘Deadly Challenges’ campaign with the NBA side, Boston Celtics.

SPORTEL Awards also released video clip that features behind-the-scenes look of the crew and moderators who run the ThunderDome.
