Bryan Danielson opens up on WWE being in talks with NJPW
It seems Danielson was eager to compete in NJPW while being under a contract of WWE. He recently appeared on the In The Kliq podcast, where he shed some light on the potential partnership between WWE and NJPW. The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer had reported back in May that WWE and NJPW were in talks regarding a potential partnership. Danielson has now confirmed that he did in fact ask WWE to work in Japan.
I don’t know how far along the talks went and I don’t know even if I was the start of them, for sure, but one of the things when I was talking to them when WWE was trying to re-sign me was, I said, ‘I want to be able to work in Japan.’
As noted “it seems like AEW has a really great relationship with New Japan,” so he will certainly get an opportunity to work in NJPW as well in the future.
